Beatles: Love (2×LP) - LP

"Love" is a soundtrack and remix album by the Beatles, released in November 2006. It features music prepared and compiled for the Cirque du Soleil show of the same name. The album was produced by George Martin and his son Giles Martin, who says, "What people will hear on the album is a new experience, a way of re-living the whole Beatles musical lifespan."

The Beatles were an English rock 'n' roll band from Liverpool. The line-up consisted of John Lennon (vocals, rhythm guitar), Paul McCartney (vocals, bass guitar), George Harrison (lead guitar, vocals) and Ringo Starr (drums, occasional vocals). They are among the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed bands in the history of popular music. The Beatles' music is still played and loved all over the world today. When the renowned music magazine Rolling Stone compiled its list of the greatest albums in popular music history in 2003, the Beatles made the top ten four times (including 1st place for Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band).

In the mid-1960s, the Beatles led the British Invasion of the United States. Although their initial musical style was rooted in 1950s rock and roll and homegrown skiffle, the band explored many different genres, from Tin Pan Alley to psychedelic rock. They set trends with their fashion, styles and statements, while their growing interest in social issues influenced the social and cultural revolutions of the 1960s.
