Black Dawn

The audiobook Black Dawn is a story from the grim Nordic crime series starring Tim Stilton and Olivia Rönning.

Olivia Rönning returns to police work and is temporarily assigned to Höganäs in Skåne. When a young child is brutally murdered in the small town of Arild, Olivia is drawn into the investigation.

A little three-year-old girl, who came to the country through adoption, is murdered in a sandpit outside a house in southern Sweden. The horrific and incomprehensible act is not solved and unfortunately another child, the boy Aram, is soon found dead in Stockholm. Both children were killed in a similarly brutal manner.

The killer is still on the run and no one knows when and where he will do something terrible again. The team of investigators works with the version of a racial motive and a context emerges that supports this theory, but then the investigation takes an unexpected turn, going far back into the past. That's when Marianne Boglund from the Swedish National Laboratory gets lab test results that point in an unexpected direction.
