The tenth studio album by American garage rock duo The Black Keys, consisting of singer and guitarist Dan Auerbach and drummer and producer Patrick Carney. According to Auerbach, the entire album was recorded in ten hours in just two afternoons at Auerbach's Easy Eye Sound studio in Nashville at the end of their Let's Rock tour, with only minimal planning and virtually no additional rehearsal time preceding the recording. It is meant to be a tribute to the Mississippi River Delta and the blues music tradition that has its roots here.
The Black Keys are one of the most respected rock bands today. The duo gained cult status and, thanks to the last two records, also world fame. They had thirteen Grammy nominations for the albums Brothers (2010) and El Camino (2011), Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney, seven of which they turned into victories. With the latter, The Black Keys reached number two on the US sales chart.
