Black Sabbath: The Ultimate Collection (2x CD) - CD
The very best of the “Sabbaths”!
The band themselves participated in compiling The Ultimate Collection. The record contains all of Black Sabbath's essential recordings, including Paranoid, Iron Man, War Pigs and The Wizard.
The tracks have been remastered, with sound engineer Andy Pearce (Deep Purple, Motörhead, Lou Reed, Iggy & The Stooges, etc.) giving them his careful attention in the studio.
English rock band Black Sabbath are one of the most important groups in music history. Black Sabbath formed in Birmingham in 1968 with the line-up of Tony Iommi (guitarist and main composer), Geezer Butler (bassist and main lyricist), Ozzy Osbourne (vocals) and Bill Ward (drums). At first, the band focused on classic blues rock, but gradually created their own style with emphatic guitar riffs, occult references and horror-themed lyrics. Black Sabbath are considered pioneers of heavy metal.
