Blood of Perun I

The first part of František Kotleta's two-part novel, which contains the typical ingredients of the most controversial author of contemporary domestic fiction: brutality, sex and hyperbole.

Suicide terrorists, bombs in pots and flour sacks, mines that can be planted anywhere, missiles coming from everywhere and Islamists wanting a trophy with a NATO flag on their uniform. It was all a tea party compared to what awaits Martin Fridrich in Prague. An event that was supposed to raise enough money for a bunch of Afghan veterans goes awry, and millions of dollars worth of diamonds disappear into the hands of unknown assailants, each more powerful and dangerous than a company of mujahideen. But this is about millions, okay? Old friends must be called to arms and the loot recovered. Be it magic, a pack of werewolves, or someone much, much more powerful.

František Kotleta

My own name is Leoš Kyša. A native of Bruntál, writer, convict, entrepreneur, Mowgli from Jeseník and butcher. He comes from an artistic family, his mother was a dancer, gymnast and spy who was persecuted for her fearless civic and political stances to the point that she was forced to flee abroad to escape the StB. Her remarkable career as a CIA agent, which throughout the 1980s was as successful as the StB, so KGB, has not yet been publicly processed and is shrouded in an iron curtain of secrecy, myths, legends and half-truths. She disappeared in Brazil in the mid-1990s and there are no reports of her.

Nothing is known about Kotlet's father either. According to some indications, it is Mikhail Gorbachev, whom Kotlet's mother seduced during his secret visit to Bruntál. According to the malicious Bruntál tongues, however, it could be practically anyone who ever saved fifty crowns and could afford a short but exciting adventure in the illegal brothel that Kotlet's mother exemplarily ran as a cover for her espionage activities.

Libor Terš

You can know Libor Terš by his typically tinted voice rather than by his photo. He has been dubbing all his life and has dubbed dozens of characters in TV series and films during his career. Among the most famous are Dr. James Wilson from Dr. House, Detective Frank Tripp from Miami Vice. You can also hear it in many Hollywood films, including Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, How to Train Your Dragon, Armageddon and Madagascar. He lent his voice to the audio theatre, for example, to load Stephen King's Dark Tower series.
