Blues Session: Live Excavations - CD

Blues Session was formed unplanned and out of sheer joy of music. Petr Kalandra, not coincidentally nicknamed the “Good Fairy of Calender“, stood at the birth of a musical party connecting rock, folk, blues and the best of country, simply Calender' s beloved music from behind a large puddle.
The philosophy followed the tradition of the legendary improvised rides of Čunderground, where there was a strict ban on testing. Even Kalandra' s band had changeable line-ups, and the audience, engrossed in the wave of free-spiritedness, had no idea in advance which rockers, folklorists or jazzmen they would see at the concert that evening.

After Kalandra' s premature knocking on the gate of heaven in 1995, it was all over. She survived the joy of music, which after years caused the Blues Session band to return from time to time in the form of a line-up around Olina Nejezchleba, complemented by younger musicians. Of course, the founding members Pavel Skála and Ondřej Konrád are also present.
The album Živé vykopávky recalls the magnificent mood of ancient concerts with several years of songs and newer songs.
