The music group Camael (Camael – the archangel of God's justice and interpersonal relationships, a protector who gives us decisiveness and the willpower to fulfil our life's purpose) was formed by the merger of the female vocal trio "Triny" and a quintet of instrumentalists who are active in various musical genres, from classical music to jazz and musicals.
All the artists are united by their enthusiasm and passion for traditional folk music—especially Moravian, Slovak and Romani.
The author of the basic framework for the instrumental arrangements is Pavel Fischer (first violin of the Škampa Quartet). The overall sound is then shaped by all the members of the group. Considerable room is also left for improvisation. The form of the three-part vocal harmony is mainly the work of Iveta Kováčová.
