Captain America: The First Avenger - DVD
Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) is an idealistic young man who, like the vast majority of his peers, longs to join the army to help America defeat the Nazis when his country joins the Second World War. However, he doesn't stand a chance. He's undersized and frail, and his only asset is the stubborn determination with which he repeatedly gets rejected by the draft board. This persistence ultimately leads to him being selected as a suitable candidate for a unique scientific experiment designed to produce Super-Soldiers for America.
Its premiere is a success, and thanks to the scientific team led by Dr. Erskine (Stanley Tucci), Steve is transformed into a perfect human being. However, the fight against the Nazis is put on hold, as a much more dangerous enemy emerges. The secret organisation HYDRA, led by the ruthless villain Johann Schmidt (Hugo Weaving), has begun to hatch its own plans for world domination.
