Christmas songs from the Jistebnice cancional, songs from baroque cancionales, Christmas songs from old Europe and classical Czech and Moravian carols.
The tradition of Christmas songs, which reflect the message of Christ' s birth, lasts for more than a thousand years, from Gregorian chants to Latin songs of the Middle Ages, songs of Baroque cancionales to folk carols. We can use them to map the whole European continent.
Christmas Songs, which the Chairé ensemble will sing to you, present events before the birth of Christ, Bethlehem scenery, we will also hear carols, which were sung during a carol procession and songs, which go beyond the carol theme. We can perceive beauty in every Christmas song. Without beauty, we cannot imagine a wonderful human being. Beauty is the gift of life as a breath. It expands the soul, warms the heart and refreshes life processes. The language of beauty is the language of our inner self. And this is the world where we find our security.
. neither the alluring mystery of dreams nor the romantic darkness of fairy tales will ever tell what fills the human soul in a sacred time, reminiscent of the day when the star of Bethlehem shone its foreshadowing in the eyes of the redeemed…
