Clark Gary Jr.: This Land - CD
This Land is the singer's fifth studio album is one of the most highly anticipated musical events of 2019. The album was preceded by the release of the title single, for which Gary Clark Jr. along with director Savanah Leaf, created a narrative music video filmed in Clark's hometown of Austin, Texas. The socially and politically attuned lyrics are an unhappy account of the musician's encounter with racism.
The thirty-year-old musician didn't start playing guitar until he was twelve, yet today he is considered one of the essential bluesmen of our time. In 2010, Eric Clapton invited him to the Crossroads guitar festival, where the youngster played with B. B. King, John Mayer, Steve Winwood and Jeff Beck.
