Desert prince

Fifteen years have passed since the war with the demons. The creatures of darkness that plagued humanity for many years, hunting the unfortunate like animals in the night, have lost their power. Heroes have become legends, and those who come after them struggle in vain to escape their shadows.

Olive Paper and Darin Bales are growing up in a new, much more peaceful world. The demons have been almost wiped out, but various dangers still lie in wait for the heroes' children.

Olive is the princess of the Hollow, and must obey her mother, Duchess Leesha Paper, who is preparing her step by step to one day take her place on the throne. But the more stubbornly her mother dictates what her daughter should be, the more Olive rebels and tries to follow her own path.

Darin faces different challenges. Although he has much more freedom, he feels the weight of his father's legacy. Being the son of the man who saved the entire world isn't easy. Everyone expects great things from him, but all he knows how to do is run and hide.

When Olive and Darin venture beyond the great wards one day, they discover that the demons have not disappeared from the world and that they crave revenge. They both set off a chain of events that only the seeresses can foresee the end of, and both will have to figure out where they belong. It's possible that the world may soon need saving again…
