Playing Showdown is like jumping out of a plane and then remembering to parachute. This game grabs and entertains, but after a while the repetitiveness sets in.
DiRT Showdown is no realistic racing game where the game's physics and sophisticated driving model will take your breath away.
The game is every inch a true arcade that lets you blow off steam and have fun.
Lots of crazy modes
There are plenty of modes to choose from in the game, where your driving skills won't be challenged. The main thing is to have fun.
Win!
That's what this is all about. In the game, you take part in some really crazy races, the demolition derby being a specific example, and your only goal is to win. In any way. Showdown offers an incredible number of types of competitions. One day you're doing a classic sprint, the next you're doing a stadium criterium and before you know it you're whizzing against an aggressive AI in a knockout. Add to that the possibility of playing in multiplayer and it's clear that you won't be short of fun.
