Everest - Blu-ray

Based on a true story

Everest, directed by Baltasar Kormákur, recounts one of the most tragic expeditions, where the majestic massif sent a chilling warning to its challengers. It's the mid-1990s, and the Himalayas are becoming a popular tourist destination. Eight-thousanders are no longer climbed only by experienced mountaineers; entire processions of adventurers from around the world are drawn to them.

Despite this, mountain guides Rob Hall (Jason Clarke) and Scott Fischer (Jake Gyllenhaal) are leaving nothing to chance, taking only people with proven experience on their expedition to the highest point on Earth. Everyone is well-prepared and equipped, and nothing should stand in the way of their clients' dreams. However, a slight deviation from the plan and a sudden change in weather are all it takes for the key question, "Will we conquer the mountain?" to be replaced by a much more fundamental one: "Can we survive?"
