Eye of the needle
A German "sleeper agent" who has been living in England for years uncovers the secret plans of the Allied army to land in France at the end of World War II.
In Britain he uses several names, but in Germany he is known in Hitler's circle of confidants as Die Nadel, the Needle. He's a ruthless professional killer who removes the marks behind him with a thin dagger hidden up his sleeve. There are corpses left behind, which the police and especially the counter-intelligence only later begin to associate with his person. The suspicion arises that he has uncovered a camouflage masking the real Allied landing site. The British secret services are working day and night to catch him and prevent him from exporting vital information to Germany.
However, the plans of the determined agent are unexpectedly confused by nature. A violent storm catches him at sea and he is shipwrecked on a tiny island off the coast of Scotland, where they live
only four people. Will an old shepherd, an invalid in a wheelchair and a frail woman with a baby manage to win a fight for life against a ruthless killer on a small piece of land?
