Fellowship of the Damned

The quest for the twelve bracelets has begun. But in a land where unpredictable magic has just awoken, every step must be taken twice. Saccar's fellowship, composed mostly of city guards and inexperienced boys who have never crossed the city threshold, is held together only by fragile faith and the promise of a dead sorcerer. If just one of them makes a minor misstep, the entire expedition will be in ruins. Moreover, it is almost certain that Maldebro's assassins, the Guardians of the Bracelets, have a huge head start on the fellowship… Syhaia, Guardian of the Mists, is on the trail of the last of the stolen Cubes of Fate. She knows she must hurry if she is to thwart the thief's plan to reshape the future in his own image. But she is beginning to suspect that what she will find at her journey's end is far more terrifying than the gods could ever have imagined. An already tangled web of events is further complicated by a motley crew of players—a fallen god, a kidnapped princess, a cynical contract killer, and a young farmer whose hot-headedness catches the eye of someone who will turn his life upside down. And probably not just his.
