Playwright and composer Beata Hlavenková is already a well-known personality on the Czech music scene.
First of all, as Lenka Dusilová's bandmate from the Baromantika and Eternal Seekers projects and co-writer of many of her songs, but also from his own albums and from collaborations with a number of domestic and foreign artists, like Iva Bitt, Justin Lavash, Dorota Barová, Jaromír Honzák or Vertigo. He is also involved in theatre and film music. After her first album "Joy For Joel" (2009), she attracted attention with her solo piano CD "Theodoros" (Anděl for Jazz Album of the Year 2013) and the follow-up album "Scintilla" (2015, nominated for the Anděl Award in both jazz and alternative music), on which she invited a number of guests from the Czech Republic and abroad, including cellist Jiří Bárta and star clarinetist Evan Ziporyn.
Now the author comes up with the project "Bethlehem", containing mainly originally adapted, rather re-composed Czech folk Christmas melodies, English, Polish, of German or French origin, as well as several Christmas-inspired compositions of his own, all in the author's own performance only at the piano. The carols, thus transformed into a new original form in the author's clearly recognizable handwriting, bring deep aesthetic experiences.
