General Karel Kutlvašr (Book II. )
This book offers readers a unique insight into the life of the legendary commander and general, Karel Kutlvašr (1895–1961), through authentic letters from prison, the personal diary of his wife Jelizaveta, contemporary recollections from friends, and a series of interviews with military historians. It maps the key moments of the general's fate – from his legionary battles through the occupation and the dramatic fighting of the Prague Uprising to his unjust persecution by the communists. This personal testimony reveals the human side of the military commander and provides a vivid portrait of a man whose life path mirrors the dramatic history of the Czech nation in the 20th century.
