Gogol Bordello: Super Taranta! - CD
Gogol Bordello: Super Taranta! - CD
The album was produced by Victor Van Vugt, Nick Cave's collaborator. The record was recorded live in the studio with minimal overdubs to capture the band's immense energy. Gogol Bordello are certainly no strangers to the Czech Republic, whether thanks to their concerts, their collaboration with Gipsy.cz, or Eugene Hutz's non-musical activities.
The nine-piece New York band Gogol Bordello became famous primarily for their wild concerts, which mix gypsy music, ska, rock'n'roll and everything else rebellious, from flamenco to perestroika punk. The charismatic singer and guitarist Eugene Hutz is clearly at the centre of attention, jumping and writhing. Gogol Bordello once started out in Prague clubs, and a little later you could see them on the main stage at Colours of Ostrava.
