Gorillaz: Gorillaz (2xLP) – LP

Gorillaz are a British band formed in 1998 by Damon Albarn of Blur and Jamie Hewlett, co-creator of the comic book Tank Girl.

Four fictional cartoon members make up the band: 2D, Murdoc, Noodle and Russel. Their music spans many genres, and although they are mostly categorised as indie rock, their style is far more diverse, ranging from pop, hip hop and electronic music to dub.

Their self-titled debut album, Gorillaz, released in 2001, was an instant hit, selling over seven million copies. It also earned a Mercury Prize nomination, which was withdrawn at the band's request.

Their second album, featuring the hit lead single "Feel Good Inc." along with tracks like "DARE", "Dirty Harry" and "Kids With Guns / El Mañana", arrived in 2005. The record went five times platinum in the UK and double platinum in the US, while scooping five Grammy nominations. Out of these, they won Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals.
