Gran Torino - Blu-ray
Walt Kowalski, a Korean War veteran and former auto worker, is not happy with his life or his surroundings. He also doesn't particularly like his neighbours, Hmong immigrants from Southeast Asia. But events force Walt to defend these neighbours from a local gang that lives on violence and fear. For the first time since Million Dollar Baby, Clint Eastwood is behind and in front of the camera, and for his evocative portrayal of Kowalski, honed into "the most classic Eastwood performance" (Peter Travers, Rolling Stone), he won the National Film Board's Best Actor Award.
