A new novel by the talented Kristina Ježovičová about the girl in the mirror that each of us sees and with whose twisted words we struggle daily. For we are more valuable than he tries to tell us. Just stop listening to him. Seventeen-year-old Kaja loses her fight with the girl in the mirror every morning. With her nose buried in romance novels, she alienates herself from her classmates. In his shell, he sees every word as an insult and a mockery. After all, how could she not, when her family, who turn a blind eye to their own past, also criticise her. Kaja falls into a merry-go-round of self-deception and pretense. Beating the girl in the mirror is really hard alone. It is even harder to admit the truth and accept the help of friends who do not abandon us even when we are going through hell. We are never alone.
