Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters - DVD
Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters - DVD
Hansel (Jeremy Renner) and Gretel (Gemma Arterton) are professional witch hunters, grappling with their childhood trauma.
If you missed this classic fairytale as a child, the filmmakers recap it for you during the opening credits, just in case. But after that, a completely different story unfolds.
We find ourselves in a typical medieval town plagued by the usual problems of the era, including the kidnapping of local children, allegedly at the hands of witches who inhabit the deep surrounding forests. The local sheriff (Peter Stormare) insists he can handle it himself, but he has overestimated his abilities. The mayor therefore invites two celebrities on a rescue mission: the legendary witch hunters, Hansel and Gretel. The siblings set off on the trail of the kidnappers with their trademark zeal, and their work soon begins to yield results. Unfortunately, not the kind they were hoping for.
They discover they are up against forces far more powerful than anything they have ever faced before. They embark on a difficult fight against a mighty, overwhelming power. Will they get their happy ending this time too?
