Hlavenková Beata: Scintilla - CD

Pianist and composer Beata Hlavenková, known not only for her work but also for participating in the work of Lenka Dusilová' s Baromantics, builds on her previous successful and award-winning solo project “Theodoros“ (Animal Music, 2013) with her new album “Scintilla“ and presents her new authorial repertoire on the border genres, again in a thematically interconnected whole.

The author' s piano is reproduced here by layers of other keyboard instruments and vocals, and each composition is decorated with the presence of one or more, mostly foreign, guests. Keyboardist Anders Aarum comes from Norway, with whom Hlavenková also performs in concert, singer Julie Dahle Aagard and percussionist Kenneth Ekornes, known for his collaboration with Mari Boine. Clarinetist Evan Ziporyn and trumpet player Ingrid Jensen (soloist of the Maria Schneider Orchestra) recorded in the USA, and parts of the excellent cellist Jiří Bárta and singer and guitarist Justin Lavash were formed in the Czech Republic.
