Berlin, the golden 1920s. Divorced journalist Rosalie arrives at the Ullstein publishing house. She's also the best friend of editor and successful writer Vicki Baum. When the beautiful and clever Rosalie happens to meet the CEO of the publishing empire, Franz Ullstein, at a banquet, he is immediately captivated by her. However, this fairytale encounter gradually turns into a scandal. Love affairs, careers, espionage – topics so often found on the front pages of the newspapers and magazines produced by the Ullstein publishing house now become the central theme for their family.
How far can three self-confident women go in standing up to social pressure and established rules? An engaging story inspired by true events, which also offers a well-founded glimpse behind the scenes of a famous publishing house.
