Immortality

A story from the world of the bestselling trilogy Remembrance of Earth's Past

With the blessing of Liu Cixin, author of the award-winning sci-fi saga, Baoshu expands on the conflict between humanity and the Trisolarans, as well as the origin and consequences of the dark forest principle.

Yun Tianming found himself on the front line of an interstellar war. A man who wanted to be euthanised due to terminal cancer, he was sent into space as a disembodied brain on a mission to infiltrate the Trisolaran First Fleet. The aliens captured him and subjected him to decades of inhumane torture. Tianming eventually gave in and helped his captors occupy Earth to prevent the complete extermination of humanity.

The Trisolarans created a new cloned body for him, and Tianming lived for a long time in exile as a traitor to the human race. But now, at the end of his life, he will experience a second resurrection. A being calling itself the Spirit recruits him into a battle against an enemy that seeks to destroy the entire universe. But Tianming doesn't want to be a puppet again. This time, he will follow only his own judgement.
