Germany in the 1920s – a country wracked by inflation, disappointment from defeat, and radicalism. Despite this, Jaroslav and Anežka Lenz live a peaceful life in Berlin. At least, until Jaroslav's friend from the war gets in touch. The man has information about a conspiracy being prepared by the Soviets and people gathered around the German general, von Repplin. At first, Jaroslav dismisses it as a figment of his imagination, but after his friend is murdered, he is forced to change his mind. In addition to finding out about their friend's death, the Lenzes also start looking into the general's suspicious activities. These were precisely what Jaroslav's friend had been investigating before he died, even contacting several German journalists for help. Asking too many questions can be risky, however, as Anežka and Jaroslav soon discover. VÁCLAV JABŮREK Václav Jabůrek is a Czech journalist and reporter, and has been the German foreign correspondent for Czech Radio since 2019. He studied Marketing Communication and PR, followed by Media Studies, at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University in Prague. He worked in public relations. He was an assistant to the head of the sales team at Česká spořitelna, director of a marketing department, and a marketing consultant for the organisation UK media, as well as an assistant account executive at FleishmanHillard. He also lived in Switzerland for several years. He joined Czech Radio in 2015. He started as a sound engineer, and from 2017 was a member of the foreign desk. In August 2019, he became the foreign correspondent for Czech Radio in Germany, where he replaced Pavel Polák. In November 2021, together with his colleague Ladislav Novák, he won the Czech-German Journalism Award in the audio category, announced by the Czech-German Future Fund, for the report 'Zaostřeno na uzavřené česko-saské hranice' (Focus on the Closed Czech-Saxon Border) on Czech Radio Plus. As a writer, he has two titles to his name so far: 'V uniformě beránka' (In Lamb's Uniform) and 'Přístav zklamání' (Harbour of Disappointment). DUŠAN URBAN He comes from Brno. He studied acting at JAMU (Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts). After his studies, he was engaged at the Moravian Theatre in Olomouc, where he spent 15 years. He then moved to Ostrava, where he performs at the Petr Bezruč Theatre. He collaborates with dubbing studios in Ostrava and Prague. He has appeared in several television series and films such as 'Stokholmský syndrom' (Stockholm Syndrome), 'Stíny v mlze' (Shadows in the Fog), 'Kriminálka Anděl' (Angel CID), 'Policie Modrava' (Modrava Police), 'Spravedlnost' (Justice) and others. His biggest opportunity came in Jiří Svoboda's film 'Sametoví vrazi' (Velvet Murderers).
