Devil's rose is a flower that has miraculous powers. It smells like seven flowering beds, but it burns like hell. Not only does the grandmother from Josef Štefan Kubín's fairy tale know this, but the two baker brothers Matěj and Vinck soon learn it too. In addition to Matěj, played by Ivan Trojan, we also meet his brother Vinck, alias Martin Zahalka. And because it is a fairy tale, the royal family will not be missing either - the constantly astonished king played by Josef Somr, the initially mouthy and later duly chastised princess Valentýnka (Zuzana Meresová), the amorous jester Mojmír of Drnovice (Mirek Šimůnek), the scheming court lady Floriána played by Veronika Gajerová and many others. The threads of the story converge on the devilish grandmother, portrayed in a distinctive way by Nina Divíšková, and her flower. But whoever wants to touch it, let him think carefully. Well, sometimes it wouldn't hurt for such a magical little table to bloom somewhere other than the fairy-tale Hell.
