Jethro Tull: A (40th Anniversary Edition) - CD
Reissue of the album released in 1980. The album was originally intended to be released as a solo project by Ian Anderson, but after consultation with the label it was marketed on behalf of the band, although only guitarist Martin Barre participated in its recording alongside Anderson. This is a recording that was part of a wider anniversary release, newly mixed from the original tapes by Brian Wilson.
Famous British rock band, whose central figure is the singer, guitarist and flute player Ian Anderson, was founded in 1967. Jethro Tull originally devoted themselves to experimental blues rock, Later their music absorbed elements of classical music, folk, jazz and hard rock. They topped the UK charts in 1969 with Stand Up, but it was 1971's Aqualung that brought them undying fame.
