After twenty-six years, the members of the legendary Joshua Redman Quartet have reunited to record LongGone. These are six original compositions written by Redman. The recording is available on CD and LP.
Jazzman Joshua Redman is one of the most versatile saxophonists. In his career, he has played with a number of talented and famous colleagues, filmed and performed with, for example. Mark Turner, Pat Metheny, Peter Bernstein, Roy Hargrove, Christian McBride, Kevin Hays, Jorge Rossy, Charlie Haden, or Billy Higgins. Brad Mehldau, American jazz pianist, composer and arranger, is also an icon of his genre. He is one of the most respected jazz musicians of today. Originally from Florida, he is also interested in classical music. Jazz bassist and composer Christian McBride also has a wealth of experience, who is a multiple Grammy winner and frequent collaborator with famous musicians like Sting, Paul McCartney, The Roots, Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock or Wynton Marsalis. The fourth member of the party is drummer Brian Blade, who moves across genres such as jazz, alternative rock, blues rock, etc.
