Keb' Mo': Suitcase LTD
LP Record On his eighth studio album, "Suitcase", Keb' Mo' (Kevin Moore) reunites with John Porter, the producer of Moore's critically acclaimed debut album. The result is a pleasant, mid-tempo sequence of songs dedicated to the emotional baggage everyone carries as they navigate an increasingly complicated life in search of peace, love, and a degree of personal redemption. Moore handles the subject with a twinkle in his eye and a smile in his voice, and "Suitcase" comes across as an ironic commentary on modern life that still manages to sound cheerful and positive, starting with the exuberant, bouncing reggae rhythm of the first track, "Your Love", one of the best songs on the record.
