Krall Diana: Wallflower (2015) - CD

Canadian singer Diana Krall is returning with a new record after two years.

The five-time Grammy Award winner last reminded fans two years ago when her great album Glad Rag Doll was released. Almost exactly two years later, Diana Krall rushes in with another record, which will be the twelfth studio in her career. Unlike the previous one, the new Wallflower will contain mostly taken over material.

The album, produced by the renowned David Foster, who by the way is a 16-time Grammy Award winner, will offer a collection of songs that inspired the singer in her musical beginnings. Fans will see both songs from the late sixties of the last century and relatively new ones. As the producer himself adds, these are some of the most important pop songs of all time .

Among the newly interpreted songs, which Diana Krall adds a whole new dimension to with her beautifully coloured jazz voice, we find such classics as California Dreaming by The Mamas And The Papas, Desperado by The Eagles, song Wallflower by the legendary Bob Dylan or Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word, which comes from the repertoire of Elton John.

Of the more recent songs, the singer gave a new face to probably the biggest hit Crowded House called Don' t Dream It' s Over and we can also look forward to the song If I Also You Home Tonight by Paul McCartney. He mentioned the mentioned song for his two-year-old album Kisses On The Bottom, but in the end he never recorded it and subsequently dedicated it to a Canadian singer.

Let' s remember that the charming forty-nine-year-old Diana Krall is one of the more successful singers of the last few decades. There is no other jazz music that has sold as many records as she has in the last thirty years, making Krall one of the best-selling singers ever. In addition to the aforementioned Grammy Awards, Diana Krall also boasts eight Juno® Awards and her previous albums around the world have collected a large number of gold, platinum and multi-platinum awards. With the new Wallflower album, there will certainly be some more.
