The people who live there initially inspire terror in her, but gradually she learns how much goodness is hidden in them. Soon she is drawn into a fairytale adventure in a world of mermaids and pirates, where she must fight with all her might for friendship, freedom and the right to be different. The fragile Lamp, who until then had only encountered humiliation and callousness, finds the strength to help others, even those whose body or mind is out of the norm. A story about the strength to stand in the world.
