Lorde: Pure Heroine - LP

One of the latest breakout stars set to shake up the global music charts hails from New Zealand.

We are talking about 16-year-old Ella Yelich-O'Connor, who enters the music industry under the stage name Lorde. This 16-year-old girl started making music at the age of 13 when, as an avid book lover, she began writing her first poems and lyrics. However, she had to wait three years for her first major success. Her debut single "Royals" dominated the charts back home in New Zealand in the spring, quickly earning platinum status.

A few weeks ago, this hit single made its way into the US charts, and now it is finally Europe's turn! Interest in Lorde is massive, undoubtedly boosted by the unusual music video for the song, which is already nearing seven million views. Not to mention that Lorde, with both her rich voice and stunning maturity, certainly does not look 16.

The album is already out in the US, where it shot straight to number 1, making her the youngest solo artist to top the chart since 1987 (when Tiffany was also 16)!
