Photographer Bára moves to the countryside to be with her partner, Igor, but finds harsh reality instead of peace. Ostracised by his friends and family, led by his unyielding and manipulative mother, Jarka, she is thrown into a state of uncertainty. She misses her old life, struggles with a creative crisis and faces pressure to have a baby, something she is not ready for. A fragile friendship with Igor's exhausted and insecure sister-in-law, Petra, gradually reveals painful truths that will forever change her perspective on who she is—and who she thought she wanted to be.

A story about the search for one's own identity, the power of prejudice, and the courage to stand up to adversity where it seems nothing can be changed. Moving to the village to be with her partner Igor seemed like a pretty good idea to photographer Bára. Little did she know how much the remoteness and the local way of life would affect her. Bára doesn't get along with the locals, she misses her friends and her old life, and is overcome by a creative crisis. She regularly clashes with Igor's family, especially his mother, Jarka, who tries to push her into motherhood, for which Bára doesn't feel ready. In an environment where everything is alien and she is suffocated by misunderstanding, she gradually loses not only Igor, but also herself. In an attempt to escape, she unexpectedly grows close to Igor's sister-in-law Petra, a harried mother of two whom she would normally despise. However, she discovers that the picture of family bliss hides a great deal of pain and manipulation.
