Quickies is the twelfth studio album from the American indie pop group The Magnetic Fields.
The central figure of the American indie pop formation The Magnetic Fields is Stephen Merritt. The talented multi-instrumentalist, producer, and vocalist is also active in several other projects (The 6ths, Future Bible Heroes, and The Gothic Archies), but The Magnetic Fields remains his main platform for self-expression.
The band first made a name for themselves back in 1991 when they released the single 100,000 Fireflies. Their work is most often stylistically described as synth-pop, indie pop, or noise pop.
