Chief Commissioner Gereon Rath has to investigate a case no one else wants

Berlin, end of summer 1935. In the Rath family, everyone goes their own way. Adopted son Fritz marches with the Hitler Youth to the party congress in Nuremberg, Charly works her way up as a paralegal and private investigator, while Gereon Rath, now promoted to chief commissioner, has to deal with cases that no one else wants. His hunter's instinct drives him to investigate the circumstances of a fatal traffic accident, even though his superiors remove him from the investigation and transfer him to another department.

It is about Hermann Göring, who is to be blackmailed, secret files, morphine and dirty politics. And Charly's life trauma, her father's death. And a man with whom Rath never wanted to have anything to do with again: about the king of the underworld, Johann Marlowe.
