License Remote Desktop Services

Remote Desktop Licensing Services manages the Remote Desktop Client Access Licenses (RDS CALs) that are required for individual devices or users to connect to a Remote Desktop Session Host (RD Session Host) server. The RD Licensing service is used to install and issue RD CALs on a Remote Desktop license server and to monitor their availability.

The Remote Desktop licensing mode configured on the Remote Desktop Session Host (RD Session Host) server must match the type of RD CALs that are available on the license server.

Microsoft Windows Server 2022

Support your business growth and upgrade your IT infrastructure by installing the Microsoft Windows Server 2022 operating system. Get enhanced multi-tier security, hybrid capabilities with Azure, and the flexible application platform that Windows Server 2022 brings.

Advanced multi-layered security

Microsoft Windows Server 2022 brings a number of security enhancements, particularly multilayered kernel security and connectivity. It enables IT teams to apply security tools with advanced preventive server defense across hardware, firmware and virtualization layers. Adds an additional layer of security to transmission processes through faster and more secure HTTPS encryption and industry standard AES-256 encryption with SMB support.

Hybrid options with Azure

Take advantage of hybrid and multi-cloud access through cloud services in your business by connecting Windows Server 2022 to Azure Arc. File features are also enhanced, such as SMB compression, which accelerates file transfers over the network by compressing data. And for IT admins, there's Windows Admin Center, which brings modern server management capabilities like a new event viewer and proxy gateway support for Azure-connected scenarios.

Flexible application platform

Microsoft Windows Server 2022 also offers improved scalability and hardware upgrade options such as support for 48 TB of memory and 2,048 logical cores running on 64 physical sockets. You'll also appreciate the improved application compatibility of Windows containers, which offers HostProcess containers for node configuration, IPv6 and dual-stack support, and enables consistent network policy implementation using Calico.

Microsoft is a multinational corporation based in the United States. Microsoft products have had an indelible influence on our perception of virtual worlds since 1975, when Bill Gates and Paul Allen founded the company. The company is best known for its peerless software, including Windows OS and the universally used Microsoft Office suite. The company is gradually becoming more active in hardware as well - for example, with Xbox gaming consoles and Lumia mobile phones.
