Miss or Mrs?
Wilkie Collins (1824–1889), a friend of Charles Dickens, who said of him that he aspired to be as good a writer as he was.
The book ´Miss or Mrs?´ has two basic plotlines. A fifteen-year-old girl, physically well-developed and quite pretty, is being courted by a much older man whom she detests. Natalie is, in fact, in love with a much younger man, her cousin, and he with her, but her wealthy and somewhat naive father—a trait which will prove fatal—has other plans for her.
The second plotline focuses on the older suitor. There is a suspicion that he was involved in a heinous murder in the past.
In this case, too, you will appreciate how captivatingly Wilkie Collins can tell his story.
