Mobb Deep: Murda Muzik
LP Record Mobb Deep is an American duo from the Queensbridge Houses neighbourhood in New York. The members of the group are Havoc and Prodigy. They are known for their dark, hardcore flow, which makes them one of the most listened-to hip-hop duos. "Murda Muzik", from 1999, is their fourth album. It was Mobb Deep's most successful album, selling over a million copies in the US alone and earning a platinum certification. It reached number three on the US Billboard 200 album chart and number two on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop chart, also achieving solid positions in Germany, the Netherlands, and the UK. Mobb Deep strategically used both old and new samples, and even a snippet from a Ronald Reagan speech.
