Nirvana: Bleach DLX
LP Record Bleach is the debut studio album from the American rock band Nirvana, released on 15 June 1989 by Sub Pop Records. The album was recorded in 1988 with producer Butch Vig in Seattle, Washington. While not a commercial success initially, Bleach was well-received by critics and is now considered a seminal release in the grunge genre. The album's lyrics were written by singer and guitarist Kurt Cobain, with the music composed by Cobain and bassist Krist Novoselic. The musical style of Bleach is characterised by its raw production and Cobain's distorted guitar playing. The album has been described as "the blueprint for grunge" and "the first great grunge record". Bleach was not heavily promoted by Sub Pop and its sales were modest.
