Patrasová Dagmar: Christmas with Dada - CD
The album of these Christmas songs by Dagmar Patrasová was created fourteen years ago, in an atmosphere of real love and well-being. The songs sound like an unadulterated celebration of a great holiday, a magnificent triumph of the joy of life. The list of compositions also dazzles the names of music authors, including Michael Kocáb, Jaroslav Uhlíř, John Lennon, Jiří Šlitr and Josef Vejvoda. From the lyricists, personalities such as Zdeněk Svěrák, Ondřej Suchý, Jiří Suchý and Eduard Krečmar shine. In addition to them, Dáda also used folk Christmas carols, with which the whole set of 22 songs ends in a joyful climax.
The songs are intended primarily for children, but the beauty of the Christmas mood will undoubtedly enchant many adults, who will appreciate the clean and deliciously captivating voice of the singer and children' s performers. From the Christmas classic, Dáda chose a number of song variations on Merry Christmas-War is Over, Rolničky, a continuation of Lennon' s stunning canon Happy Christmas-War is Over, and impresses me with the melancholy of Šlitrova and Suchý Purpura. Of course, you can play this record at any time, but you will appreciate it especially at Christmas.
Carols and songs for the most beautiful holiday of the year!
