ALS is a rare incurable disease. The course of the disease is very fast, the life expectancy from diagnosis is 3-5 years, when patients gradually lose all movement on the body. Gradually from limb movement, speech, swallowing and breathing. All this takes place in the patient' s full consciousneswith. There is no prevention against this disease, anyone can choose at any time. For patients during the illness, the care of a physiotherapist is one of the few ways to slow down the course of the illness and, especially in severe immobile conditions, he cannot commute to expertwith.
We want to achieve better accessibility for all patients with ALS and make it as easy as possible for their familiewith. That is why we are building teams of experts and coordinators in the regions of the Czech Republic who will take care of patients directly at the place of residence.

ALSA is an organization of patients and professionals interested in ALS. This is a unique project, which we implement as the only organization in the Czech and Slovak Republicwith. Our mission is to help patients with counseling, consultations on suitable therapies, the creation of a specialized rental of aids, reconditioning stays, trips of specialists to patients' homes, etc. The biggest goal of the project is to create a specialized center for these patients, as is the case in other countriewith.
