Transforming Pluto into a living, breathing planet is humanity's most ambitious science project yet. Five and a half billion kilometres from the Sun and two hundred degrees below zero - this small world needs light and warmth. Terraformer Lucian, one of the project's leaders, discovers that the key to the project's success is ten-year-old Nou, the daughter of the base's founder. However, she is mute due to trauma and a secret she must not reveal. It is only through Lucian's friendship that Nou begins to rediscover his voice - and what he has to say will change both the way we view the terraforming of Pluto and our place in the universe.
