Precedent: 30 years / Best Of - CD
A representative selection of songs from Precedence' s albums with singers Bára Basiková and Petr Kolář, as well as songs created by the band under the name Basic Beat, or recordings with founding member Jan Sahara Hedl.
In the year of its creation, the Precedent became the biggest surprise of the year according to the bulletin of the Jazz Section. The debut Ice Age brought a completely original face of the rock scene and it can certainly be called a cult album. He was successfully followed by the following albums, video clips and concerts.
Bára Basiková held the post of singer after the initial period, when Jan Sahara Hedl was the frontman. In the 1990s, the Basic Beat group was formed as a direct continuation of the Precedent, with an even more significant emphasis on Basikova as a soloist.
In the nineties, the band members also recorded two solo albums by Jan Sahara Hedl. After the departure of Bára Basiková, the head of the Precedent and the exclusive author of the music and lyrics, Martin Němec, discovered the singer Petr Kolář, who sang two albums of Němec' s songs with the band. All original recordings were produced and compiled for the current release by Martin Němec.
