Pretenders: Pretenders II (3x CD) - CD

Extended reissue of the Pretenders' second album, compiled by Chrissie Hynde herself. The 3CD box contains not only the original recording but also various demo versions and live recordings. Let's recall that the Pretenders' debut dates back to 1981.

British-American rock band Pretenders was formed in 1978. The band was initiated by singer and songwriter Chrissie Hynde. In the 1980s, two of the original four members of the Pretenders died as a result of drug use, which is why the line-up changed several times. The band also included guitarist Johnny Marr from Manchester's The Smiths. Stylistically, Pretenders' work touches on rock, punk rock or new wave.

Year of publication: 1981 (2. album)
