Programming in C#

An experienced author and university teacher guides you through C# programming (version 8, released in 2019) from the very basics to very advanced topics. First, we'll cover the necessary basic concepts and everything a programmer needs to know about the computer, how to display data in its memory, and object-oriented programming.

In a few simple programs you will learn the basic constructs of C#, program translation and debugging. The aim is to give you the tools to try out everything that will be discussed below with your own examples. Then you will be ready for a systematic explanation of the C# programming language: variables, data types, statements and expressions, creating and using custom object data types, handling exceptions (runtime errors), and the LINQ query language.

The last part of the book is devoted to selected C# programming libraries, working with character strings, tools for inputs and outputs (i.e. program communication with the environment), creating programs with graphical user interfaces and the basics of parallel programming (using the so-called. subprocesses or threads).
