The lost son has been found, but it's as if he's suddenly someone else...

Eleven-year-old Evan wasn't late - he didn't make it home from rugby practice after all. The police team, led by the peculiar Inspector Naylor, sets out to find him, but finds no witnesses to the boy's disappearance from the bus stop where he said goodbye to his friend. Father and mother are in despair and each faces it in his own way.

After a few months, when investigators are slowly focusing on new cases and the media barely covers the boy's disappearance, the missing man unexpectedly turns up. But the horror doesn't end there... Evan not only refuses to describe what he has experienced, he doesn't even communicate at all. The solitude and silence of his room is his only safe haven. And when another child soon goes missing, there is nothing to do but try to talk the silent schoolboy out of it. Before it's too late.
