Their greatest hits with soul!
It is a great joy and a bit of a worry to choose Marie Rotter's soul recordings. Filling one CD is a fairly quick action, but doubts may remain: is there really everything that's most important? Ms. Marie herself chose and compiled a happy twenty-one songs, perfectly representing her heart's affair: soul, blues, gospel or black dance music.
Her Ostrava beginnings were strongly influenced by the black music she listened to at Radio Luxembourg, played at teas and later recorded in the radio studio with the Majestic and Flamingo bands. Her releases on Supraphon singles and albums have earned her a great reputation and earned her the nickname Lady Soul. Gradually, however, she partly abandoned this well mastered, but in time somewhat limiting musical form. However, the soulfulness, i.e. the soulfulness and sensitivity, was undoubtedly carried over into all future singing, so the designation is forever valid.
