Sepultura: Roots (Expanded Edition) (2x LP) – LP

This is one of the most seminal albums in heavy metal history. It marks the final record in the Brazilian band's discography to feature founding member Max Cavalera. During the recording sessions, Sepultura enlisted the help of several producers and guest musicians, including Jonathan Davis from Korn, DJ Lethal from Limp Bizkit, and Mike Patton from Faith No More. The record was also heavily influenced by Brazilian musician Carlinhos Brown. The band's sixth album originally came out in 1996 and is now available in an expanded reissue featuring newly remastered original tracks, rare and previously unreleased recordings, and live performances. The 17 bonus tracks (the vinyl version contains only 14) include demos of Dusted and Roots Bloody Roots, instrumental versions of Dictatorshit and Cutthroat, and a live version of Attitude recorded at Ozzfest.

Sepultura is a legendary metal band from Brazil, formed in 1984 by brothers Max and Igor Cavalera. Initially drawing influence from thrash and groove metal, the band later incorporated elements of alternative metal, nu metal, hardcore punk, and industrial metal. Following several line-up changes, no founding members remain in the band since Igor Cavalera's departure in 2006. Their most famous albums include Arise (1991), Chaos A.D. (1993), and Roots (1996).
