Shaman's Revenge

Revenge is a dish best served hot and perfect… and there are no second chances!

A year ago, Daniel Mahan was sentenced to prison in virtual reality. But now he has achieved the impossible and bought his way out of the rest of his sentence. He can forget about his time in the capsule, his clan, the Corporation's plans, and all of Barliona. All he has to do is complete an addiction treatment programme and he'll be free, ready to start over with a clean slate.

But Mahan left Barliona in a hurry and still has some unfinished business. And when an opportunity arises in the real world to get revenge on those who expedited his departure from the game, he doesn't have to think twice about returning. He doesn't even mind that this revenge won't be without its dangers, or that he doesn't really know who is helping him…

After all, Mahan holds all the trump cards – the key to the Creator's tomb rightfully belongs to him alone, and not even the most powerful clans can do anything about it. Plus, in the real world, there are no dragons or zombie apprentices, not to mention the opportunities to turn others' greed against them and make a lot of money very quickly. All he has to do is log into Barliona, reclaim his loot, and rally his friends – just one last time. What could possibly go wrong?

Published by FANTOM Print, the penultimate instalment of the successful LitRPG series The Way of the Shaman is finally here, answering questions that have been lingering since the very first book. Who put Mahan in prison? Why did the new continental scenario revolve around him? And can you just walk away from a virtual reality where the possibilities are limitless and the rewards are beyond anyone's wildest dreams? Barliona is, simply put, a highly addictive game – and that's just from reading about it.

The book includes the bonus short story 'The Hour of Pain', which sheds a different light on the conclusion of 'Karmadont's Chessboard'.
